"account": "Peak Design, known for its durable and innovative backpacks and tripods, has expanded into the charging accessory market. The company's founder, Peter Dering, explained that they aimed to improve upon existing products, not just create another line of chargers and cables. The new lineup includes several high-end options, starting with the $100 wireless Kickstand Travel Battery. This is the first Qi2.3-certified wireless charger, offering 15W wireless charging unplugged and up to 5W when plugged in. It's thin (10.5mm), packs a 5,000mAh capacity, and supports both portrait and landscape phone mounting for MagSafe or PixelSnap-enabled devices.\n\nNext up is the $100 2-in-1 wireless charging station, made from die-cast aluminum and zinc. It features two Qi 2.2 charging pads, each capable of 25W, and a 5V USB-C port for charging smaller gadgets. It folds flat, similar to Anker's multi-device charger, but with a smaller footprint. Peak Design is also introducing the $65 Dual Slim Charger, utilizing GaN technology to output up to 65W to two USB-C ports, in a slimmer, half-inch thick design with fold-flat prongs.\n\nTo complement these chargers, Peak Design has designed its UltraStrand cables. These cables boast exceptional kink resistance and durability, with a lifetime guarantee. They come in three pricing tiers: $25 for 60W, $40 for up to 240W, and various lengths from 15cm to 2 meters. All new devices are available for pre-order on peakdesign.com and select retailers, with global availability expected in mid-November.",
"summary": "Peak Design fans, rejoice. The company is now ready to show off its debut collection of smartphone chargers, cables and batteries.",
