"account": "Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel passed away at the age of 30 following a cardiac arrest caused by a collision during a match, the club announced on Tuesday. The incident occurred during a Segunda Division game against Andorra, which was halted in stoppage time after De Miguel collapsed after a clash with the opposing goalkeeper, Jesus Owono. Owono had charged out of his goal area to clear a long ball and struck De Miguel in the chest with his knee. The 30-year-old lay motionless as players from both sides called for medical assistance, and Owono received a straight red card. De Miguel was treated by medical staff on the pitch for over five minutes before being taken to the hospital by ambulance. The Royal Spanish Football Federation canceled all matches scheduled for Tuesday, including Copa del Rey and Copa de la Reina fixtures, and postponed the official presentation of Spain's Under-21 international team against Japan in respect of De Miguel's family, teammates, and Tenerife supporters. Football clubs across Spain paid tribute to De Miguel, with Barcelona and Real Madrid expressing their condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. De Miguel was born in Madrid in 1996 and joined Tenerife from Castellón ahead of the 2025-26 season, scoring 11 goals in the previous campaign.",
