"account": "Sheffield Wednesday chairman David Storch has announced that Dave Challinor will take over as the manager of the club on a three-and-a-half year contract, running until 2030. Challinor, 51, was appointed after an unanimous decision from the club's board following a thorough recruitment process led by Simon Wilson. The Owls are currently ninth in League One, two points outside the play-offs, and Storch emphasized that Challinor's appointment reflects their commitment to the long-term future of the club.\n\nChallinor, who last managed Stockport County, has a history of promotion at every club he has managed. He will be joined by first-team assistant coaches Clint Hill and Antony Sweeney, and his first match in charge will be Wednesday's FA Cup first-round tie against Oldham Athletic on Sunday.\n\nThe club's new ownership dismissed Henrik Pedersen following successive defeats and after trying interim manager Matt Hamshaw for two games. Wilson praised Challinor's record, stating that he is a proven winner who builds successful teams, improves players, and adapts throughout his career. He added that Challinor's appointment will help the club develop a recognizable playing identity and consistency, moving away from a short-term solution.",
