"account": "On Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, the Thomaston girls soccer team secured the Berkshire League championship by defeating Housatonic 2-1 in a thrilling final that went to a penalty-kick shootout. Junior goalkeeper Brynn Beaudoin played a pivotal role, making 13 saves overall, including one crucial stop on the game's final penalty kick. Beaudoin emphasized that while shooting is unpredictable, trusting her instincts was key in this high-pressure situation. The team's coach, Greg Blasko, had confidence in his goalkeeper and the strategy of going to penalty kicks once the game reached overtime. Despite Housatonic's success in the regular season, they were ranked 7th in the league, while Thomaston received the third seed for the upcoming Class S state tournament.",
