"summary": "Malaysia is leveraging three UNESCO ecohydrology demonstration sites to enhance national water resilience and promote nature-based solutions in addressing climate-related water challenges. The sites, Putrajaya Wetlands, the Sustainable Stormwater Management Project at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), and the Bio-Ecological Drainage System (BIOECODS) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), showcase the country's commitment to integrating ecological functions into water management. Deputy Prime Minister II and Energy Transformation and Water Transformation Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof emphasized that water resilience should be a strategic national priority, requiring cooperation among various stakeholders to translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions. The inaugural International Conference on Ecohydrology and Water Resilience (ICEWR 2026), held at the Everly Hotel, brought together over 200 participants to discuss strengthening multistakeholder governance and promoting sustainable water management approaches.",
