"summary": "Concerns have been raised over the excessive crowding and safety issues at Toronto's Halloween on Church Street event in the Church-Wellesley Village. The two-day event, which involved a full road closure on Church Street between Carlton and Gloucester streets, saw an estimated tens of thousands of people descend upon the neighbourhood. 2SLGBTQ+ advocate Travis Myers expressed worry over the lack of crowd control and reports of sexual assault, groping, and pickpocketing. Myers noted that the event, which has been a staple for many to celebrate Halloween with intricate costumes and explore their identities, shifted after the COVID-19 pandemic to bring in more people from outside the city. Community advocate Rodney Chan echoed similar concerns over the event's overcrowding, suggesting improvements such as more seating and vegetation could have helped mitigate the issue.",
