"account": "A Star Wars-themed meme campaign is gaining traction among MAGA conservatives as they prepare for the 2026 midterms. Anakin Skywalker, once the hero of the galaxy, is being portrayed as a symbol of disenfranchised young adults radicalized by the political corruption they see around them. An image of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi wielding a lightsaber with a caption referencing mail-in ballots has been circulating, along with a montage of Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader. Guillaume Verdon, an AI startup founder, believes the Anakin edits might turn the tides of the midterms. MAGA conservatives are comparing themselves to Anakin Skywalker, seeing him as their archetypal hero. Despite the grim reality of Anakin's fall from grace, MAGA faithful embrace the meme as a cultural victory and a sign of their own power.",
"summary": "With Democrats poised to make significant gains in Tuesday’s midterm elections, Trump supporters have been reduced to posting bizarre Star Wars fan fiction.",
