"account": "Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell has retired from international cricket, though he will continue to play in franchise T20 leagues. The 38-year-old, who previously retired from one-day internationals last year, will no longer represent Australia in Twenty20 internationals. Maxwell announced his retirement from international cricket, stating that it was harder than expected to let his state team know he was retiring. He has played 130 T20 internationals for Australia, scoring 2,897 runs at a strike rate of 154.42. Maxwell also took 51 wickets and made 62 catches in his international career. He expressed gratitude for playing for his country, acknowledging that if someone had offered him that career when he first joined the Victoria side in 2009, he would have accepted it eagerly. Maxwell also played seven Tests and 149 One Day Internationals for Australia, in addition to a successful First Class and List A career with Victoria. He will continue to participate in franchise Twenty20 cricket, including for the Melbourne Stars in the upcoming Big Bash League.",
