"account": "Neve Campbell has announced her return to the \"Scream\" franchise for the eighth installment, \"Scream 8,\" which is currently in development by Spyglass Media. The actress made the confirmation during an interview with the Associated Press at the premiere of the second season of Netflix's spy thriller series \"Black Doves.\" Campbell, who played the iconic role of Sidney Prescott, stated, \"I’ll be in it,\" with a laugh. Known for her portrayal of Sidney in Wes Craven's original 1996 film, Campbell has reprised the role in two direct sequels, \"Scream 4\" in 2011 and \"Scream VI\" in 2022. However, she opted out of \"Scream VI\" due to a pay dispute with the film's distributor, Paramount. Campbell's return for \"Scream 7\" was secured when she received a significant $7 million salary for her role, which helped the film gross $208 million worldwide against a $45 million budget. The upcoming \"Scream 8\" will be written by showrunners Lilla and Nora Zuckerman, while the series writer Kevin Williamson will transition from writer to producer for the film.",
