"account": "Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has expressed his preference for winning the UEFA Champions League trophy over his newly acquired Ballon d’Or award. During a press conference before Bayern’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, Kane stated that he would choose the Champions League. The England captain, who won the 2026 Ballon d’Or last week, explained that the Champions League victory would hold a special meaning for him because he could share the celebration with his teammates and the club. Kane highlighted that while the Ballon d’Or was a significant award, the opportunity to lift the Champions League with Bayern would be an incredible feeling. He expressed hope of achieving both honors, noting that Bayern provided him with the chance to fulfill both ambitions. Kane’s comments come after years of chasing major club titles, as he spent most of his career at Tottenham without winning a major trophy. He joined Bayern in August 2023 after a 19-year stint at Tottenham, where he became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances. Although Kane has won domestic titles with Bayern, such as the Bundesliga and German Cup, the Champions League remains elusive. His 2026 Ballon d’Or win followed a stellar 2025/26 season, in which he scored 73 goals for both Bayern and England, helping Bayern secure the Bundesliga, German Cup, and German Super Cup. Kane’s next chance to win the Champions League will come when Bayern faces Atletico Madrid in the final at Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium on June 5, 2027.",
