"summary": "Lionsgate and Meta have announced a partnership to release \"The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping\" in 3D, marking the first time Meta has collaborated with a Hollywood studio for a feature film conversion. The 3D conversion was completed with director Francis Lawrence and visual effects studio DNEG. Following its theatrical release, the film will also be available in 3D on Meta VR Glasses when they launch in the spring, featuring advanced display, audio, and immersive technology. Director Francis Lawrence expressed excitement about bringing the film to audiences in a new immersive way, while Meta Reality Labs Entertainment Head Sarah Malkin highlighted the potential of the technology for both theater and home viewing. The film, based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling books, follows 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy in the 50th Annual Hunger Games, set in Panem 24 years before the events of the original series.",
