"account": "Donald Trump is set to deliver his final pitch for the midterm elections at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington on Monday. The former president will emphasize his administration's efforts to make the country safer and wealthier, contrasting the Republicans' \"America first agenda\" with Democrats' \"radical, America last agenda.\" Trump chose the site to showcase its beauty. This address will conclude a series of nearly daily rallies across the nation.\n\nThe Lincoln Pool has faced controversy since Trump ordered its renovation earlier this year. After the project was completed, the pool's lining peeled, and the water turned green due to algae. Trump falsely blamed vandals for \"slashing\" the lining, despite the Justice Department stating damage resulted from improper installation. Trump has devoted significant attention to renovation projects at the White House and across Washington, linking them to national pride and the country's 250th anniversary celebration. These projects include the demolition of the East Wing for a ballroom, restoration of fountains and monuments, and transformation of the Rose Garden.\n\nCritics argue that Trump's renovation efforts divert focus from economic concerns and voter affordability, particularly ahead of the midterms. Republican strategist John Feehery noted that voters may prioritize Trump's message over concerns about the projects. Trump, who is not on the ballot, urges voters to view the election as a referendum on his presidency, emphasizing the need for high turnout. The President has a historically low approval rating, with many Americans frustrated by rising living costs and the unpopular Iran war. The conflict has cost the U.S. at least $47 billion and led to 23 US service members' deaths. Trump has suggested giving Americans $5,000 payments if Republicans retain control of Congress, though he jokingly noted the limited purchasing power of the amount at his Florida resort.",
