"summary": "The Gombe State Police Command arrested 29-year-old Ahijo Boyi for the alleged theft and vandalisation of high-tension electricity cables in the state, according to Punch and Punch Nigeria.\n\nIn a separate incident, the Federal Capital Territory Police arrested two suspected vandals, Sagir Abubakar and Seidu Umar Bello, in the Guzape area of Abuja. Daily Post Nigeria reports that the arrest occurred around 1:30 a.m. on October 31, 2026, after police spotted a Lexus SUV and a Toyota Sienna parked suspiciously on Walter Ofonagoro Street.\n\nWhile the suspects initially attempted to flee after sighting the police, one occupant was chased and arrested on foot. A search of the area resulted in the recovery of several pieces of armoured cable allegedly stolen from public and private infrastructure. Daily Post Nigeria stated that Abubakar is a member of a gang that targets secluded locations in the FCT.",
