"summary": "A federal judge has dismissed criminal charges against two former FBI officials, Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides, who were accused of making false statements to Congress. According to The Guardian US and The Hill, Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui ruled on Monday that prosecutors failed to show probable cause that the individuals had knowingly made false statements regarding their involvement in the investigation into Hunter Biden's laptop.\n\nThe case involved allegations that the two officials lied about their roles in the bureau's investigation of the son of former president Joe Biden. CBS News reported that the officials were accused of falsely suggesting to Congress that they were unaware of the federal investigations surrounding Hunter Biden.",
