"summary": "The Gombe State Police Command has arrested 29-year-old Ahijo Boyi for the alleged theft and vandalisation of high-tension electricity cables in Gombe State, according to Punch Nigeria.\n\nIn a separate incident in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police arrested two suspected vandals, Sagir Abubakar of Kuchigoro Village and Seidu Umar Bello, following a patrol in the Guzape area. Daily Post Nigeria reports that the incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on October 31, 2026, when officers spotted a Lexus SUV and a Toyota Sienna parked suspiciously on Walter Ofonagoro Street.\n\nWhile the suspects initially attempted to flee after sighting the police, one individual was abandoned and caught after an attempted escape on foot. A search of the area resulted in the recovery of several pieces of armoured cable that had been cut. Police Public Relations Officer Josephine Adeh stated that Abubakar is believed to be a member of a gang that targets secluded locations to vandalise both public and private infrastructure.",
