"account": "Rawalpindi has inaugurated its inaugural drive-through vehicle emission testing station on GT Road adjacent to Ayub Park, offering private vehicle owners a novel avenue to assess their vehicles' smoke emissions and acquire fitness certification. The station is slated to commence operations on Monday, November 2, 2026, under the Punjab Vehicle Inspection and Certification System (PVICS). Drivers can transport their vehicles through the facility for smoke emission testing without the necessity of disembarking. This new station is an integral component of Punjab's endeavors to mitigate air pollution by pinpointing vehicles that emit excessive smoke and ensuring that motorists comply with stipulated environmental standards. The Punjab government has broadened its vehicle inspection and certification system to encompass private vehicles as part of its crusade against vehicular pollution and smog. In accordance with the system, eligible vehicles must undergo emission testing and secure fitness certificates. Motorists residing in Rawalpindi may pay a visit to the newly established drive-through station on GT Road near Ayub Park to have their private vehicles scrutinized.",
