"account": "The National Department of Land Reform and Rural Development has issued a tender for the supply and implementation of new enterprise-engineered infrastructure to upgrade the Deeds Registry's hardware systems. The Deeds Registration Trading Entity (DRTE) aims to provide secure, reliable and high-performance digital platforms for South Africa's property and land register, as it acts as the custodian of one of the nation's most valuable assets. The existing infrastructure is already out of warranty and at end-of-life, leading to challenges such as system instability and slow performance. DRTE's tender invites bidders to replace the current core infrastructure with a modernised environment capable of supporting mission-critical applications, increasing storage and compute capacity, and improving resilience. The successful provider must design, supply, deliver, install, configure and commission the infrastructure, with a focus on active-active disaster recovery functionality and compatibility with the organisation's existing Oracle-based environment. The tender closes on 24 November 2026.",
