"account": "A diesel storage facility in Anambra State experienced a devastating fire, leaving one individual severely burned and causing extensive damage to several tanks. The incident, which occurred late on Sunday, November 1st, 2026, in Ndieze Nwankwo along Edibros Road, Uruagu, in the Nnewi North Local Government Area, has raised concerns about fire safety regulations, the handling of petroleum products, and emergency response measures.\n\nEyewitnesses reported thick smoke engulfing the area and explosions as the fire raged for several minutes before the arrival of the state fire service. Despite the intensity of the blaze, no fatalities were reported, and the injured person was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment. The fire service received the distress call at around 5:45 PM on Sunday, and firefighters promptly mobilized to the scene to contain the fire and prevent further spread.\n\nThe Anambra State Fire Service confirmed the incident on Monday, stating that the cause was suspected to be arson. The service urged the public to exercise caution when handling and storing petroleum products and to report any fire emergencies immediately to ensure a timely response and minimize potential losses.",
