"account": "Japan has called on the US to enforce stricter discipline among its troops following the arrest of a second Marine on suspicion of drink-driving during a curfew, according to Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi. The incident occurred on Saturday, just days after another serviceman was arrested for murder. The US military presence on the Japanese island of Okinawa has been a contentious issue, with the presence of around 54,000 troops there sparking outrage and controversy. In response to the murder charge, the US had imposed a two-day alcohol ban and a 30-day curfew on Okinawa. Koizumi urged the US to take the matter seriously and implement effective measures to prevent further violations of curfew rules. The curfew requires all troops to be back on base or at an off-base domicile from midnight to 5am. Japanese prosecutors have indicted the Marine accused of the murder, with the suspect allegedly strangling a woman in a hotel with a telephone cord on October 3. Japan has lodged a strong protest with the US, calling for full cooperation with the investigation and strict discipline among US military personnel.",
