"account": "On November 1, 2026, Weston boys soccer claimed its second consecutive SWC championship by defeating New Milford 4-0 at WestConn. The Trojans had previously upset Bethel in the 2025 championship and were considered favorites until New Milford, coached by Steven Carneiro, defeated them in a regular season game. Coach Thomas Guardado expressed pride in his team, noting their senior status and the team's dominant performance. Weston took an early lead through a penalty kick by Constantine Joannides and maintained their advantage with goals from Kacper Bos, Mads Leary, and Maks Moffley in the second half, leaving New Milford without a goal. Weston's senior captain, Kyle Schiffer, was named the tournament MVP for his defensive efforts, which resulted in a shutout for New Milford. This victory marked Weston's third consecutive tournament appearance and solidified their position as a strong contender for the CIAC playoffs.",
