"account": "Michigan's Senate race has become a battleground for Democratic divisions, as a once-party loyal congresswoman has endorsed the Republican candidate. Haley Stevens, who lost a primary to left-wing progressive Abdul El-Sayed in August, now backs his Republican opponent, Mike Rogers. This shocking turn of events occurred just two days before the November 3 midterm election. Stevens explained that El-Sayed had made clear she was not welcome in his campaign. This endorsement comes as Democrats aim to gain control of both chambers of Congress, with the Michigan Senate race being a crucial battleground. El-Sayed, a rising national figure, has criticized the US alliance with Israel, while Trump has repeatedly attacked him, calling him a \"jihadist.\" Despite the backlash, including calls from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Michigan Democrats' black caucus chair to boycott Stevens, most polls still show El-Sayed leading Rogers in the race.",
