"account": "Florida State officially dismissed head coach Mike Norvell on Sunday, following a 3-5 season that included a losing streak. President Richard McCullough informed Norvell of the decision the day after the team's 36-24 defeat against Clemson. Rick Stockstill, the Director of Scouting, will serve as the interim head coach. Defensive coordinator Tony White also left his position. McCullough expressed gratitude for Norvell's dedication and wished him well. The university acknowledged Seminole fans' high expectations and promised to conduct a comprehensive national search for the next head coach. The Seminoles allowed 123 combined points over their three-game losing streak, finishing the season with a 3-5 record, including a 1-4 ACC performance. Despite signing an eight-year, over $84 million extension in 2023, Florida State's record dropped to 10-21, resulting in Norvell's dismissal. ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that Norvell is owed a $50.3 million buyout. Stockstill, an FSU alumnus, led Middle Tennessee State to a 113-111 record over 18 seasons before returning to his alma mater. Florida State announced it would immediately begin the search for its next head coach.",
