"summary": "Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the wife of the Cross River State Governor, has called on women in the state to stay loyal to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections. During a strategic meeting on Sunday, Otu urged women to mobilize support for the party at the grassroots level, according to Punch and Punch Nigeria.\n\nSeparately, Senator John Owan Enoh has warned the state APC against repeating its poor performance from the 2023 presidential election. Speaking during the inauguration of the Cross River State executives and polling unit coordinators of Project Beyond 2027 in Calabar, Enoh noted that in the last election, the party's presidential candidate won seven local governments, Atiku Abubakar won one, and Peter Obi won 10 of the state's 18 local government areas.\n\nDaily Post Nigeria reports that Enoh, who serves as the Director of Manufacturing and MSME Sector Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, stated the party must work to win all 18 local government areas in the next election. He encouraged coordinators to engage residents in communities and markets to canvass support for Tinubu and other APC candidates, specifically noting the need to improve performance in the southern senatorial district.",
