"summary": "Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the wife of the Cross River State Governor, has called on women in the state to remain loyal to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections. During a strategic meeting with female members on Sunday, Otu urged them to mobilise support for the party at the grassroots level, according to Punch Nigeria.\n\nSeparately, Senator John Owan Enoh has warned the APC in Cross River State against repeating its poor performance from the 2023 presidential election. Speaking during the inauguration of the Cross River State executives and polling unit coordinators of Project Beyond 2027 at Atu Field in Calabar South, Enoh noted that the party's president won only seven of the state's 18 local government areas in 2023, while Atiku Abubakar won one and Peter Obi won ten.\n\nEnoh, who serves as the Director of Manufacturing and MSME Sector Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, stated that the party must work toward winning all 18 local government areas in the next election. He instructed coordinators to engage residents in communities and markets to canvass support for Tinubu and other APC candidates, with a specific focus on improving performance in the southern senatorial district, according to Daily Post Nigeria.",
