"summary": "Rep. Haley Stevens has endorsed Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers in the Michigan race against Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed. According to The National UAE, Stevens announced her endorsement via a social media video after making a surprise appearance alongside Rogers at a church in Detroit. The Republican National Committee stated that Michigan should \"take notice\" of the endorsement because Stevens ran against El-Sayed and knows him better than anyone.\n\nThe endorsement follows tension between Stevens and El-Sayed, who defeated her in the Democratic primary. The National UAE reports that the two had initially planned to attend a unity event together on Sunday, but Stevens had demanded that El-Sayed denounce an advertisement blaming rising U.S. prices on American military support for Israel. Stevens stated in a video that El-Sayed said she was no longer welcome in his campaign and that she does not belong in it. Haaretz noted that the two have clashed over Israel and antisemitism since the primary.\n\nThe Michigan Senate election is scheduled for Tuesday. The National UAE reported that the result could help determine which party controls the Senate for the remaining two years of President Donald Trump's term.",
