"account": "On Halloween, a driver in Nelson, B.C. found herself in peril when her pickup truck drove over an embankment and submerged in Kootenay Lake at the Chahko Mika Mall parking lot. Nelson Police credited three witnesses for saving the woman's life.\n\nThe witnesses, recognizing the urgency of the situation, quickly jumped into the cold lake to pull the driver from her sinking vehicle. Upon reaching the woman, they assessed her condition and paramedics arrived at the scene to further treat her before releasing her.\n\nPolice also called in a towing company to recover the truck from the lake, ensuring minimal environmental impact. The department noted that alcohol and drugs were not considered factors in the accident, but the cause is still under investigation.",
