"account": "My Chemical Romance has achieved its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart following the 20th anniversary deluxe reissue of their 2006 album, The Black Parade. The set, which originally debuted at No. 2 upon its initial release, had remained their highest-charting album until this week. The reissue was available in over 20 physical variants, including bonus tracks, and contributed to the album's significant climb to the top spot. In the week ending Oct. 29, the album earned 78,000 equivalent album units in the United States, a 653% increase compared to the previous week, driven largely by pure album sales (68,000, up 2,082%). The band has been touring in support of the album since July 2025, with the tour set to conclude on Nov. 22 in Indonesia. This marks the longest wait for an album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, surpassing the previous record of 15 years and nine months held by Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits.",
"summary": "The Black Parade ’s 20-year-wait to reach No. 1 is the longest ever for an album.",
