"summary": "The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has convened a meeting to mediate in the ongoing dispute at Savannah College of Education (SAVCE) over payroll and governance issues. The strike, which began on October 27, 2026, has caused significant disruption to academic activities and left students without food for over a week. The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026, will bring together representatives from the college management, various teachers' associations, the Dean of Students, and SRC members. Key issues to be discussed include staff payroll migration, the establishment of a Management Unit, and outstanding students’ allowances. The outcome of the meeting is anticipated to be a mutually acceptable resolution, preventing a potential win-lose situation and allowing the college to resume normal operations.",
