"summary": "President Trump stated during an interview with Fox News that if the GOP loses control of both the House and the Senate, his strategy would be to \"become Mr. Veto\" to prevent legislation from passing.\n\nAjel English reports that the White House has been preparing for months to allow the president to advance his agenda through executive authority if Democrats win control of Congress. According to sources cited by Ajel English, senior officials including Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and Budget Director Russell Vought have worked with the Office of Legal Counsel since April to identify actions in areas such as trade, immigration, housing, and federal spending that could be taken without congressional approval.\n\nOptions under consideration include introducing measures to reduce construction and housing costs, tightening rules for temporary worker and international student visas, and imposing new tariffs on wind turbines and critical mineral imports, Ajel English reports. Additionally, administration aides are preparing for potential congressional investigations into official communications and administration decisions.",
