"account": "Dog owners in the Spanish town of Mijas are facing stricter rules regarding pet waste. Starting October 28, 2026, fines for not cleaning up after dogs will begin at €750, with penalties escalating to €1,500 in sensitive areas such as playgrounds. The town council aims to reduce litter and improve public spaces by strengthening penalties for fly-tipping, improper bin use, and other unsightly behaviors. The new bylaws consolidate existing regulations and introduce clearer responsibilities for businesses and event organizers. Current pet owners are advised to carry waste bags, clean up immediately, and use designated bins. The new rules do not affect existing household rubbish charges.",
