"account": "David Morton, a real estate CEO and 75-year-old father of two, recounted a terrifying home invasion in Toronto that left him, his wife, and two daughters hospitalized. In the early hours of Thursday, masked intruders attacked the family in their multi-million-dollar home in the affluent Bridle Path neighbourhood at 3:45 am. Morton, alongside his daughters Maggie and Cristina Zohil-Morton, and his wife Doriana Zohil-Morton, sustained injuries while defending themselves against the assailants. Morton, both daughters, and one of the daughters were shot - one in the leg and another under the arm. The CEO described the incident as a \"terrifying and life-threatening experience,\" highlighting the trauma of such a horrific event occurring within their own home. Morton emphasized that no family should have to endure such an ordeal. He also expressed gratitude towards the Toronto Police, emergency responders, and hospital staff for their swift response and assistance. The CEO's statement emphasized the growing concern about home invasions and their impact on family safety across Toronto. Despite the focus on recovery, Morton urged anyone with information to assist the police investigation.",
