"account": "On Halloween night, October 31, 2026, UFC Vegas 123 LIVE took place at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event featured Tom Nolan, a lightweight contender from Australia, earning his biggest win of the year with a third-round TKO over Brazilian lightweight Renato Moicano. The co-headliner saw undefeated welterweight prospect Jacobe Smith secure a 5-0 UFC record with a decision win over veteran Randy Brown.\n\nThe event was particularly memorable for the number of fights that ended due to cuts. In a welterweight bout between Rodrigo Sezinando and Theodor Berggren, Sezinando sliced Berggren's lip so badly that a doctor intervened. Another doctor's stoppage occurred during a welterweight fight between Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani and Farman Hasanov; Lebosnoyani inflicted a cut above Hasanov's eye, leading to a stoppage. Lastly, the co-main event between Jacobe Smith and Randy Brown also featured a nasty cut above Brown's eye, which did not prevent him from fighting all three rounds.\n\nWelterweight division standout Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani, known as \"JPL\" or \"The American Bandit,\" displayed impressive skills in his UFC debut against Farman Hasanov. Despite Hasanov's size and takedown ability, Lebosnoyani outscored Hasanov 2-1 in significant strikes and defended four out of six takedowns. The fight ended with a second-round TKO for Lebosnoyani.\n\nReferee Dan Miragliotta's decision to stand up UFC Vegas 123 LIVE's main event, where Renato Moicano had Tom Nolan on the ground, was controversial and led to Moicano's loss. Fans questioned whether Miragliotta's decision was a mistake or if there was foul play involved. Regardless, the night was filled with action, drama, and impressive performances, cementing its place in UFC history.",
