"account": "Prof Govindan Rangarajan, the Director at the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru, compared the advancements in Artificial Intelligence to the duality of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde during his address at the third convocation of Adani University in Ahmedabad. He emphasized the need for universities to rethink and reinvent themselves in light of AI's potential perils. Rangarajan explained that AI can serve as an exceptional tutor, patient and always available, capable of explaining concepts better than any teacher. However, he cautioned that this also implies the university's role in imparting knowledge is changing, questioning the very philosophy of a university. He stressed that while AI excels in providing progress and benefits, it also carries a potentially negative aspect. Rangarajan used the PHP coding glitch as an example, highlighting how AI led to the discovery of bugs in PHP, causing websites, including IISc's, to go offline. He urged students not to offload their entire thinking to AI, instead, they should learn to control AI and cherish human relationships. Adani University honored 374 graduates with degrees, with ten students receiving medals for academic excellence: five gold, three silver, and two bronze.",
