"summary": "Foreign ministers from the United States, Australia, India, and Japan issued a joint statement pledging to build reliable global supply chains. The ministers expressed grave concerns regarding economic coercion involving non-market practices and export restrictions, though they did not specifically name China in the statement. According to The Jakarta Post, the meeting occurred as Japan has criticized Beijing over critical mineral export restrictions and the US has been forming a coalition of G20 countries regarding China's dominance in rare earths and other minerals.\n\nRegarding regional tensions, Ajel English reports that Iran’s foreign minister has stated no talks with US officials are planned. The minister linked any potential negotiations and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to the lifting of sanctions and the release of frozen funds.\n\nThe Hindustan Times - World News notes that these concerns directly affect India, which relies on the Gulf for much of its energy and fertilizer and depends on China for critical minerals.",
