"account": "Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer Mario Alberto Morales faces assault charges after allegedly running over a Mexican man with his car in Houston, according to a report from his attorney. Morales struck 48-year-old construction worker Miguel Parra Hernandez with his unmarked SUV on October 10 while chasing Parra Hernandez through a parking lot. A grand jury indicted Morales on Friday for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Morales is expected to surrender himself to a courthouse on Monday, his attorney David Lindenmuth told The Associated Press. Lindenmuth has previously claimed that the incident was an \"accident\" and suggested that officials \"invented a crime out of thin air.\" Parra Hernandez suffered a broken leg and is currently recovering in a rehabilitation facility while under federal custody. ICE maintains that Parra Hernandez ran in front of Morales' vehicle. Surveillance camera footage released earlier shows Morales' car driving away from the scene.",
