"account": "Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi broke his goalless streak in the Premier League on Saturday as Coventry City triumphed 3-1 against Sunderland at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Awoniyi scored his first goal of the 2026/27 season in the 37th minute, extending his side's lead following Tatsuhiro Sakamoto's opener in the 17th minute. He was substituted after 72 minutes of impactful play. The match saw Sunderland, managed by Régis Le Bris, challenged by Coventry City, who were fighting for survival in the league. Jack Rudoni added a third goal in the 52nd minute to secure the win. Enzo Le Fée pulled one back from the spot in the 67th minute after a VAR review, but Sunderland's lead was insurmountable. Their fortunes worsened when defender Omar Alderete received a second yellow card in the 99th minute and was sent off, leaving them with 10 men. The result provided Coventry with crucial points in their relegation battle.",
