"summary": "Equity Bank has come under scrutiny following allegations of staff misconduct and fraudulent activities within the institution. The claims were first raised by a TikTok user who questioned the integrity of Equity Bank employees and alleged that numerous customers had fallen victim to fraud. The user also mentioned that the bank had dismissed over 1,000 employees due to fraud, sparking concerns about the bank's internal controls. In response, Equity Bank reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, professionalism, and accountability in its operations, stating that they take allegations of staff misconduct seriously and encourage customers to report suspicious incidents through official channels. However, the bank did not provide further details on the specific claims, such as the number of employees who may have faced disciplinary action or the exact incidents of fraud.",
