"account": "Green Bay Packers' running back Josh Jacobs faced battery charges following an altercation with his then-girlfriend in May. Evidence from multiple additional women's accounts emerged during the investigation. These women alleged similar incidents of physical abuse by Jacobs dating back to January 2022. One woman claimed Jacobs slapped her, threw her phone into a pool, and pinned her down, while another stated he caused bruises and swelling to her arms and chest. A third woman alleged she had consensual sex with Jacobs in April 2021, but he later threw her belongings out after she confronted him about a broken condom. The women did not initially report these incidents due to fear of not being believed or concerns about deportation. Jacobs pleaded no contest to the charges and was arrested in May. The NFL placed him on the commissioner's exempt list, causing him to miss the first six games of the season. Jacobs' lawyers stated that uncorroborated and old allegations were presented to the district attorney's office, which determined only two misdemeanor charges were warranted. Jacobs expressed remorse and is fulfilling the terms of the plea agreement.",
