"summary": "Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has endorsed Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for the 2027 governorship election. Speaking at Hamzat's formal manifesto presentation held on Friday at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, Obasa expressed confidence in Hamzat’s ability to deliver on his campaign promises.\n\nAccording to Daily Post Nigeria, Obasa stated that Hamzat possesses the competence, character, and determination required to rewrite the socio-economic narrative of Lagos State. Obasa cited Hamzat's educational background and his experience in both public and private offices as evidence of his ability to succeed the current governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.\n\nPunch Nigeria reported that Obasa expressed confidence in Hamzat's P.R.O.M.I.S.E agenda for the state. Daily Post Nigeria noted that Hamzat is the current deputy governor of the state and previously sought the governorship position in 2019 before being persuaded to serve as deputy to Sanwo-Olu.",
