"summary": "Tens of thousands of young demonstrators are expected to take to the streets in approximately 34 German cities this Saturday. According to DW News, the participants are calling for a greater political say and a more hopeful future. DW English (Top Stories) reports that the youth initiative Gen Z regelt organized the protests through a social media campaign, with the group directly organizing demonstrations in Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Munich.\n\nThe protests focus on demanding more climate protection, rejecting military conscription, and seeking better educational prospects and future opportunities. While organizers have called for peaceful demonstrations to avoid the violence seen in recent French protests, DW English (Top Stories) notes that conservative politicians from Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s Christian Democrats (CDU) have warned that similar scenes of violence could occur. In response, Gen Z regelt criticized the focus on potential violence, stating that the emphasis shows they are not being taken seriously.\n\nAhead of the demonstrations, German police were deployed across the country and some shops boarded up their windows, according to The Local Germany.",
