"account": "Air Chief Marshal Ashutosh Dixit assumed his new role as Chief of Air Staff on Saturday. He succeeded Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, who retired from the Indian Air Force (IAF) after a 43-year career. The IAF conducted a ceremonial guard of honor for Singh before he passed the reins to Dixit. Dixit, a seasoned fighter pilot with over 3,500 hours of flight experience on more than 20 aircraft types, had been serving as Vice Chief of the IAF. His strategic planning and role in Operation Sindoor were key during his tenure. Born on December 9, 1966, Dixit was commissioned into the fighter stream of the IAF on December 6, 1986. Prior to his current position, he held various Command, Staff, and Instructional appointments. Dixit was educated at the National Defence Academy, Defence Staff Service College, and National Defence College. He is an experimental test pilot and qualified flying instructor. Dixit has been involved in numerous operations and exercises throughout his four-decade career, including Operation Safed Sagar, Operation Rakshak, and Operation Sindoor.",
