This directive was given during a meeting to discuss the restoration and development of the city’s historical landmarks and tourist attractions. Kundi also urged for expedited heritage preservation and enhanced visitor facilities. Officials from the Development and Planning Department, Tourism Secretariat, and other relevant departments attended the meeting. They provided Kundi with an overview of Peshawar’s historical and cultural significance, current and future development projects, and strategies to promote both day and night tourism, as well as heritage tourism. The governor emphasized Peshawar’s rich history, civilization, and culture, stressing the importance of showcasing this heritage to draw in both local and foreign tourists. To better access historical sites, Kundi requested the introduction of specialized tourist buses. He further directed officials to relocate the vintage ambulance and old fire engines preserved at Gor Khatri to a more accessible location for visitors. Additionally, Kundi ordered the installation of informational boards near the Peshawar Motorway Toll Plaza to introduce tourists to the city’s historical sites and cultural attractions. He highlighted the significance of cultural activities in preserving Peshawar’s traditions, arts, and literary heritage. Kundi welcomed the ongoing preservation efforts and expressed confidence that restoring historical landmarks and boosting tourist facilities would strengthen Peshawar’s cultural identity.",
