"account": "Jordan's military authorities report that they successfully thwarted an attempt by 14 armed men to cross the border from Syria on Friday evening. The group encountered heavy gunfire and direct engagement from border guards, leading to casualties among the infiltrators and forcing the rest of the group to retreat into Syria. A senior military official from the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that a northern border patrol unit intercepted the group's attempt to breach the border under heavy fire. The official emphasized that the Jordanian forces will take strong action against any attempts to infiltrate or smuggle through the nation's borders, vowing to protect the country's security and its citizens. Recently, Syria announced an increase in the death toll from Jordanian airstrikes in southern Syria's rural Daraa province to eight, with three of the victims being children and a woman.",
