"summary": "President Xi Jinping's recent purge of 33 senior Communist Party officials has resulted in a record number of vacancies within the party's leadership body. The latest plenary session, held as part of the party's fifth plenum, saw only 279 full and alternate members of the Central Committee attend, marking the highest level of absenteeism in the party's modern history. This absenteeism, combined with the removal of five out of seven members from the Central Military Commission, has significantly weakened the party's leadership. Despite these challenges, the party has vowed to continue enforcing strict internal discipline and governance, with Xi expected to seek another five-year term at the upcoming 21st Party Congress in 2027.",
