"account": "Former world number one Malaysian badminton player Lee Chong Wei has revealed that his role as chairman of the Badminton Association of Malaysia's (BAM) performance committee has been a challenging position, particularly due to the differences in playing styles between his generation and the current players. The 44-year-old, who stepped down from professional play in 2019, was appointed to the position in October last year. Chong Wei acknowledged that making decisions for players from a different era requires continuous learning and adaptation. He often seeks advice from BAM president Tengku Zafrul Aziz before making crucial choices. While Chong Wei is prepared to face public criticism, he justifies it by believing that his decisions are in the best interest of Malaysian badminton. The Olympic silver medallist also stressed the importance of discipline in achieving success at the highest level of the sport, emphasizing that a player's career is limited and they must be willing to make sacrifices to improve their performance.",
