"account": "On October 31st, an 68-year-old voter from Gemas, Negeri Sembilan, traveled 70 kilometres on his bicycle from Gemas to Bukit Katil to witness the Melaka State Election nomination process. Sitdek Ahmad Ali, a senior citizen, cycled through the night to arrive in Bukit Katil at approximately 4 am, eager to observe the democratic process and support the candidates vying for the Bukit Katil State Legislative Assembly seat. Upon reaching the nomination centre at Dewan Tun Ali, Bukit Katil, Sitdek rested briefly at a nearby surau before returning to the centre around 7:30 am. He expressed his desire to visit additional nomination centres, if time allowed, to further immerse himself in the electoral process. Sitdek's cycling passion is not new; in 2019, he embarked on a 2,500-kilometre journey around Peninsular Malaysia to raise funds for his dream of cycling to Mecca. The Election Commission has designated November 14 as the polling day for the Melaka state election, while early voting will occur on November 10.
