"account": "Jonathan Tsado Vatsa, a former Niger State Commissioner for Information, has joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC). Vatsa, along with 200 other former APC supporters, declared their allegiance to the SDP in Anguwa-Gulu Vatsa Ward, located in the Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State. The party's chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed Baba, presented Vatsa with an SDP membership card, recognizing him as a \"big fish\" and praising his significant contributions to the development of the area. Baba expressed his belief that Vatsa's decision to leave the APC, which he described as a \"haven of corruption and maladministration,\" was long overdue. Vatsa, who formally quit the APC last Monday, characterized the party as failing Nigerians and lacking democratic principles. He stated that his membership in the SDP would contribute to the party's eventual takeover of power in Niger State in 2027.",
