"account": "Nigerian teen Seun Ogunsakin claimed victory in the J200 Cairo boys’ singles championship on Friday, defeating Matisse Martin of France with a score of 7-5, 6-3. This marked his second J200 title of 2026, following a previous win in the same Egyptian city a few months prior. Ogunsakin, representing the Aurum Tennis Academy and serving as the top seed, had to battle his way to the final, overcoming Egypt’s Omar Kandil 6-7(11), 6-4, 6-1 in the quarter-finals and Mohamed Genidy 6-4, 6-2 in the semi-finals. The teenager, part of the Grand Slam Players Development Project touring team in Africa, is set to participate in the 2027 Australian Open Junior Championships alongside fellow Nigerian Ikenna Okonkwo. Nigeria's Tennis Federation President Victor Ochei expressed pride in the young athlete's achievement, highlighting it as evidence of Nigerian players' capability to compete at the highest level of junior tennis. Ochei credited the resurgence in Nigerian tennis to recent successes in Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup competitions, and he vowed to continue fostering international opportunities for emerging players.",
