"account": "The writer owned a Samsung Q800A soundbar, which supported Apple Airplay but not the preferred Chromecast Audio solution. The built-in TOSLINK optical input was limited by the Samsung Frame TV generating eARC signals, switching the soundbar's audio source. A Google Cast solution was desired, but no official support existed. The Australian version of the soundbar had this support, prompting the writer to extract and modify firmware from a broken US model to enable Google Cast functionality. The process involved downloading firmware, extracting files, and using a modified Android Debug Bridge to discover and manipulate USB devices. By changing the country code to \"AU,\" the soundbar began supporting Google Cast, requiring key provisioning for full functionality. The writer successfully activated Cast support, allowing the soundbar to be discovered via mDNS and receive standard Cast API calls.",
