"summary": "The National Anti-illegal Mining Secretariat (NAIMOS) has intensified its crackdown on illegal mining activities by intercepting 65 brand new Changfang machines intended for water polluting-galamsey activities in the Nzema East and Aowin municipalities in the Western and Western North regions. Two individuals involved in the transport and intended receipt of the equipment have been arrested and handed over to the Enchi Police Station for further investigation. NAIMOS has also seized a truck loaded with 22 brand-new chanfang machines at Eshaem in the Nzema East Municipality and uncovered a substantial consignment of equipment commonly associated with illegal mining operations during another operation in the Aowin District of the Western North Region. The latest interception reinforces intelligence that illegal mining operations are sustained by organised supply chains capable of replacing equipment destroyed during enforcement operations.",
